In the same way, the local production of the Glasbin has played a very important role in the development. Resources are conserved through short transport distances during the manufacturing process.
Fully recyclable glass cylinder
Our glass cylinder is made of borosilicate glass.
Borosilicate glass is a very chemical- and temperature-resistant glass. It does not contain any chemicals or substances that are hazardous to health and is neutral in taste. Despite its light weight, it is extremely stable and robust and therefore particularly break-proof. Compared to conventional glass, borosilicate glass is the more environmentally friendly alternative, as it is fully recyclable and reusable after melting down.
Durable maple wood
Our lids and handles are made of maple wood and are finished with natural hard wax oil.
Maple wood is very durable and resilient, breathable, abrasion-resistant and dirt-repellent and insensitive to household chemicals.
Long-lasting stainless steel 18/10
Our dispensing mechanism is made of 18/10 grade stainless steel.
Stainless steel of this grade is a non-hazardous and non-reactive material, has no coating that could be affected by abrasion, is durable and fully recyclable.
The surface of the entire dispensing mechanism is electropolished inside and out. This makes the surface even and very easy to clean.
